CORRECTION: IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT THESE SONGS/VIDEOS/WHATEVER WERE IN FACT FAKE (CONFIRMED BY DAFT PUNKS CAMP A COUPLE DAYS AFTER THIS POST). WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY MISLEADING AND ALSO APOLOGIZE FOR WRITING THIS IN ALL CAPS...ahem... My bad. :(
So, I just got back from a killer week of playing shows across Florida and I have to say, it was one of the best times of my life. Had such a great time, and received such a response from my sets, I decided to put together a mix highlighting the experience. Though there was a different set every night, some key elements remained the same and those edits and blends are what I brought together in this mix. Using Serato's history records, I best duplicated the last night's set - which took place in Gainesville @ Neon Liger.
(And of course, please use these tracks as samples and purchase higher quality versions through your favorite digital distributor, the recently purchased tracks are at 160kbps for this reason... most of the rest of the tracks in the mix can be found somewhere on this very blog, happy hunting -m)

Happy to share my latest track, Kick The Bassline. I produced this song with a different set of studio monitors. I recently upgraded to the Yamahas HS-80M and so far I've been really pleased with the quality and the desired stereo sound. As for the track, I've been playing it out and getting really great feedback so hope you enjoy.
Kick The Bassline (Team Davis Remix) will be out soon on soundcloud, make sure to add him and follow up on his new releases.
A while back I was in a group called 'Le Prinicple'. This group did very well for how new we were. But as most groups do , we came to a fork in the road and went separate ways. No Drama , no harsh feelings , just this one last track we decided to give away. Garret is now 'Adulture' and I myself am 'Charlie Church' (disco house production wise , Figure is my bass music). So here it is , in my opinion the best song we ever made , given away via Solid Bump records!
I used to give away a lot of tracks , so I took it back a bit and made a track just to hand out to anyone that wants it! This one starts off running from the first drop (including a Aesop Rock vocal sample) , and chugs for 5 minutes with distorted wobbles and crunchy drums. Enjoy!
Heapy might be a new name to you , but that is soon about to change. I ran across Heapy on soundcloud and ever since then , my sets and mixes are 30% his music. With support from names like Hostage and all the Brooklyn Fire crew , we had to grab him up for some work on the label (Brooklyn Fire). I asked Heapy to bootleg something old and classic for the Brooklyn Fire Bootlegs soundcloud page , and sure as shit he did! KRS-One's 'Sound of the police' is one of the most classic hip hop songs of all time , and not only did Heapy drop to the original twice in this song , but he tossed a wobbley bass line on it that is sure to cause riots. Heapy's original song 'Temptation' will be on Brooklyn Fire's first release coming out in September , so keep a eye open for that!
Here are 2 soundcloud players you can download the track from , one is from Heapys page and the other is the Brooklyn Fire Bootleg page. Enjoy!
Borrowing elements from UK funky, house, garage, dub and electro , Wira is a mystery man with a slew of amazing original songs in his pocket. Wira reminds me of Burial but more for a venue , yet still keeping that late night foggy feel that drowns everything else out. This mix Wira is offering up is 13 of his original songs into a 25 minute mix. This mix is for pretty much every situation , I strongly recommend Wira and his music. So make sure to grab his mix below and then add him on Facebook.
If you're in Tallahassee, Florida tonight, then make your way over to Menace Beach @ The Engine Room. Tonight the Penned Madness crew will be hosting our bi-monthly party with special guest JASON TYLER.
Jason's making a stop on his 40+ city "Dance Party OMG Tour" that's packed full of dirty electro and trumpet blasts.
Here's some tracks from Jason to keep you warmed up till tonight.
Here's a funky French take on Uffie's "Add Suv" featuring Pharrel from DJ Mehdi & Riton aka Carte Blanche. It's a good, bitch tomorrow is Friday let's get ready to funk track. Enjoy!
So it's hotter than Isla Nublar around here lately, but the outdoor parties are in high gear. Here's some new summer jams to play at your next backyard party, on your ultra-fancy yacht, or private dinosaur cloning island.
This one's a Brachiosaurus...Shakes the ground, but a gentle giant (with an awesome gypsy breakdown)
Massive new mix from one of the best bass head's in this known world. Not only including tons of exclusives from his friends (including myself...WOOP!) , but features two huge new tracks from the man himself. First up is his track 'Take A Lick' forthcoming on a compilation on High Rankin's 'Suicide Dub' Label!! After you have dealt with that monster of a track , then we have his tracks 'Versatile Sound' and 'Make 'Em Drop' which are coming out soon on JFK's Teenage Riot records!
I'm sorry, but this had to be done! We wanted to share the original but felt we'd get fucked up the ass by lawyers - so I felt this was the best next thing. So far the small collective of people who pre-approved this loved it! And I hope you do too!
With the sing along vocals of The Rapture's classic, House of Jealous Lovers edited and mashed up with Congorock's insane remix of The Swedish House Mafia's monster anthem One - we are pretty sure this is going to blow up every party its played at!!!!
