Beatles Stocking Stuffers...

We have done Beatles remixes before but this week we received a slew of them and just have to post'm... They are good too, that's the crazy part. The first three come from our boy Figure out west, doing some killer shit out there. Figure, who I just learned, is also roommates with Action Jackson, a producer/performer we much enjoy here at Penned Madness. Small world eh?

The Beatles - With A Little Help From My Friends (FIGURE Remix)

The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby (FIGURE remix)

The Beatles - Lady Madonna (FIGURE remix)

Last track is a mash up by LehtMoJoe of Free Agent... 50 Cent's "In Da Club" (a Holiday classic in its own regard) and Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime..."

It's actually not that bad... I may sound like DJ Downer by saying I have, for lack of a better term, mixed expectations when I hear mash ups from artists I am not entirely familiar with... It's just that I have seen so many good ideas somehow get Frankensteined together over the years...

This isn't one of those times. Thanks to Cory from Subservient Experiment for sending this over our way.

And there's a video also...

Those Figure mixes, particularly of "Eleanor Rigby" are great. I'm still not sure about the 50 Cent vs. Paul McCartney mashup, maybe it'll have to grow on me. :P

Personally, I dig "Lady Madonna" the best, but yeah they are all great.

As for the mash up, the beginning is annoying, with the layering voices... and the rest is well, not amazing but it's not atrocious's just there.

It's a novelty track, but at least it's not from the musical equivalent of Spencer's...
