The original of this track has been out for a while, but if you haven't heard this remix then you should check it out. It absolutely blows the original out of the water. It takes everything you ever loved about the original "Hey!" track from the legendary producers Diplo and Laidback Luke and puts a huge wobbly electro bass line on it.

Leave The World Behind

I remember it like it was yesterday. WMC 09. Such a great time. I also remember going on Axwell's website and hearing a snippet of Leave The World Behind - and thinking to myself, this is going to be the one. Friday night came and I got to Ultra 20 minutes in the Swedish House Mafia set. Fellow blogger, Mark Starr, his better half Jackie and I right in the middle of all the action. Screaming and dancing surrounded by some of the hottest and sweatiest bodies Miami had to offer. Then all of a sudden you could hear coming in. Deborah Cox's vocal stab, "ahh" over and over again, building and building. Then the vocal dropped and it was pure bliss. The whole fucking crowd just started going nuts!
I have never been disappointed by these guys and they continue to be one of my all time favorite producers and djs. Here is the official video of Leave The World Behind shot in Miami during the WMC. I can't wait till next year!

Daft Punk - Be More Time?

If there was anyone that I would expect to pump out a bootleg Bmore remix of One More Time by Daft Punk, it probably wouldn't have been Laidback Luke...but hell, stranger things have happened. I haven't seen this one making the rounds yet on hype machine or elbows yet, so I figured I would post this up on Penned Madness as its not one to miss. The edit is very well produced, and the production is self thumps pretty hard. What I am glad that LBL did, is keep the song pretty much the same minus the drum sequence edits. I have heard way too many terrible remixes of Daft Punk lately. When I got the memo about this edit, I felt a terrible headache coming on, and was about to delete all of my Laidback Luke off my laptop...lucky for him...he did a decent job. I see this one being pretty big in the Bmore crowds...you crazy kids...with your Bmore...

FLASH! AAAAaaahhhhh!

Alllright alright...I've had enough of electronic producers sampling older rock songs and making them into smash hits. Okay, I lied. I love it, I love every cheesy minute of it. Here’s a new one from Christian Sims that samples the oh so classic Flash’s Theme (or Flash) by legendary rockers Queen. This remake is currently being supported by a slew of jocks including Laidback Luke. The remix isn’t really similar to the original except for the bitchin’ sample. This tune includes bouncy tribal/electro beats, acoustic guitars, queen samples, and some great tech house/techno elements. Enjoy this one. I know I am! Oh, I also included the original Flash’s Theme by Queen from the 1980s film in there.
