So I might be late on this dude - or right on time.... Anyway I was on twitter (sigh) and The Teenagers twitted (sigh) about this dude from London, Build, who did a remix of their track Feeling Better. And I loved it! It's like Fred Falke meets Miami Horror. Very dancey and pretty. I'm digging it. Nice of all - all the tracks on his myspace were up for free to download from his soundcloud page!!!!!
James, Phil, Kathy and I took a trip up to Atlanta to see Cut Copy and The Presets, Saturday. We left around 2 p.m. so we could go shopping at H&M and get a bite to eat in the city before the show.
Everything was going to plan until we ran out of gas on I-75, about nine miles away from our destination, because all of Georgia was out of fuel. We ended up spending $60 to have a tow truck driver, who got in an accident right next to us on the interstate, bring us three gallons of gas.
Not knowing how we would make it home with barely a quarter tank of gas, we made it to The Masquerade for a pretty decent show. Both bands, though The Presets' was better, had a really awesome light show. We were on the second story of the venue and the floor felt like we were in a bounce castle from everyone dancing.
After the show, the four of us called every person in our phones and did everything we could think of to try and find a place with gas or some shelter for the night. Three hours later, we finally got word of a gas station 10 miles away that actually had fuel. We made it there on what little fumes were left in my car and got back to Gainesville safely.
It was a pretty stressful and hopeless situation, but playing Osborne in my head helped make things bearable. If you ever find yourself in a situation like this, try giving these a listen.
Yes indeed, just like the book of the same name, we here at Penned Madness are back, going full force and are ready for some wacky hijinks to occur.
To keep you all in the know on why "we're back"...Over the last four days we did in fact have a server issue that caused all of our tracks to disappear, but we have gained a new server and have replaced almost all of the links to many tracks (those that are less than a month old).
So go, have fun, frolic amongst the bangers and take some home with you. Today we are going to show some inbox love from several of our peoples that stuck it out and still emailed us despite the slight delay in jam service.

This Tuesday is a huge day for us, Designer Drugs is playing our humble party tonight and we have a hefty amount of excitement built up about it... Andrea and I have been practicing most of yesterday and early parts of this morn in preparation of this event.
Here are some tracks for your amusement, I must get back to mental readying myself for the awesome that is going to hit our sleepy town tonight... as well as Thursday.
Joining the Brotherhood of Bands that have been around for a hot minute but are now reaching "OMGZ THIS IS MY JAM, WE GOT TO DANCE NOW!" status, Brazilian dancesters CSS. Other recent additions to the Brotherhood include Hot Chip and MGMT, two other acts that have been doing what they do for a few years before, as scientists say, "blowing the fuck up."
We got CSS' newest album, "Donkey" at the station and it has been getting plenty of requests since coming through the doors. To those that don't know (those under rocks until a month ago) this ain't your daddy's Cascading Style Sheet CSS, but "Cansei de Ser Sexy" - or in their native tongue of Portuguese, "I got tired of being sexy."
You and me both fellas...
Here are some tracks from Donkey and other EPs and singles throughout the past few months... I have been playing some of these since late last year but that doesn't take away from them being fun, catchy and yes, sexy.
