So it's almost summer time and I felt like I have been hearing so much great summery electro house that I needed to put together a new F*** The Heat! So it's got some tribal electro, some dutch house, some banger shit from Designer Drugs, some big room house from Arno Cost, and a new original by me! Not to mention a shit ton of edits, and a new mash up. Sounds about right, and since last time I made the mix a bit shorter and caught some flack for it - this one comes in nicely at 61 odd minutes. Through The Prism

Our good friends Michael & Theo (aka Designer Drugs) have (finally, ahem) dropped their new and first single from their long anticipated (and overdue, ahem) album, Hardcore/Softcore (coming out on Ultra Records). Their single, Through The Prism is an Electro/Hip-Hop dance floor destroyer that will definitely having you spill your drink while dancing. It's vocals courtesy of fellow Brooklynite, Cerebral Vortex and a killer portamento'd melody that gives more homage to the Dutch then it does to anything we've heard from these two BAMF's before.

Designer Drugs Drop Down

Designer Drugs have always been some one of my favorite producers. They never stop putting out the illest remixes and their first single Zombies/Back Up In This (IHeartComix). This should be no different. Their follow up double A-Side Riot/Drop Down is going to blow the roof off! The boys were kind enough to give the world Drop Down before its October 27th release date! Taking their first dive into the original producing world, our friends Designer Drugs have crafted two stellar tracks for your listening pleasure...

The debut "Zombies!" is exceptionally fit for this current holiday season, with its thunderstorm intro and overall spooktacular feel... That's right, spooktacular...

Its fellow banger (there's gotta be a better way to say that) "Back up in This" is a track that is guaranteed to get people's fists pumping. The killer hook, fucked up circus organ, wobbling bass and gunshot claps make this track a party must.

Designer Drugs Florida Tour Pics

So this week Designer Drugs finished up their Florida tour, and boy oh boy was it sick. Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa, Gainesville and Miami - all in just over a week. Michael, one half of the producing duo, was join by his girlfriend and photographer Elle Rex, you documented the whole time and all of our fun. As well as photographing any DD performance, Elle is also the main shutterbug for the Ruff Club in NYC as well.
